To finish off this incredible weekend for the Valley Band, two of our band members were selected for the 2026 MSSBDA State Band Festival! Congratulations to Izzy Walton and Violet Smith for earning places in this ensemble!
Auditions for this band are open to all small schools in Missouri. Izzy and Violet submitted their auditions alongside other students from around the state and competed for a place in the band. This is the inaugural year for this State Band, and our musicians are making history being some of the first members of this band. They will be traveling to CMU in June to rehearse and perform a concert with this ensemble. This is an amazing accomplishment and so deserved by these amazing ladies!
