On March 15-17, 2026 17 students from Valley R-VI attended the 2026 Missouri Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference at the University Plaza and Expo in Springfield, Missouri.

    • The design has Mark Twain, The Arch - Gateway to the West, a Clydesdale, The Cardinals, Blues, and Chiefs, and of course, a gold cancer ribbon to support childhood cancer.

    • Picture of the Missouri FCCLA pen

    • Haylee Pyatt, Isabella Owens, and Jimmy Politte

FCCLA is unique among student organizations because projects and events, such as the State Leadership Conference, are planned and run by its student members. This prime focus on youth-centered leadership helps Missouri FCCLA members develop "skills for life" - planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal communication - necessary in the workplace and in the home.
