Students in front of a teens teach prevention sign

Today six of our Valley High School students participated in the Teens Teach Prevention training located at the Dayse Baker Learning Center in Farmington, provided by the Prevention Resource Center.

The students studied alcohol and vaping prevention materials and strategies. They were then given scripts and resources and worked in groups to practice presenting the information. Students then practiced delivering the presentation in front of the group of 40 students and adults, and were given public speaking and delivery feedback.

Students will present this material to grades 5-8 at Valley R-VI and serve as role models to younger students in the hopes of making connections and encourages younger students to make healthy and smart choices!
