Athlete of the Month for October
Each month in conjunction with Roy's Convenience Stores, an athlete will be selected for Athlete of the Month. The recipients will receive a $25 gift certificate to Roy's.
For the month of October, the Athletes of the Month are Carter Jones and Izzy Boyer.

Valley R-VI Junior High/High School awarded the October Student of the Month on Friday, October 31st.

These amazing musicians will be rehearsing and performing concerts on Saturday, November 8th at St. Clair High School and UMSL. An awesome day that our students get to make music across Missouri!

We are happy to share that the sewer issue at our preschool has been fully repaired. A big thank you to our Valley R-VI maintenance and custodial staff and our local contractors for their hard work and quick response today.

Esports Raffle
Esports is raffling off a Switch 2 Mario Kart Worlds edition. The winner will be drawn on Dec. 17th during school. All proceeds go to the Esports program. A huge shout out to our first quarter students at the elementary who had PERFECT attendance!!!
They have been working hard to be here every day this school year. These students earned a popcorn party and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members,
On Saturday October 25th, 2025 - late afternoon, Valley R-VI school administration was contacted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office regarding a reported social media weapons threat allegedly made by one of our students on Friday, October 24, 2025. Law enforcement has investigated the matter and determined that it does not meet the criteria of a credible threat. However, after an administrative investigation, the comments do meet the criteria for school disciplinary action and are being addressed in accordance with district policy.
The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the social media account involved and the comments have been deleted and that all firearms in the home are secured and not accessible to students.
In response, the District has taken appropriate action in accordance with the disciplinary code, and our Behavior Risk Assessment Team has been included in the next steps to ensure appropriate follow-up and supports are made available for all students, staff, and community. Both law enforcement and the family have worked with the district and are supportive of these actions.
Please know that student and staff safety remain our highest priority. We will continue working closely with law enforcement and our safety teams to ensure a secure and supportive learning environment for all. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or your school principal.
