Valley R-VI Junior High/High School awarded the August Student of the Month on Friday, August 5th.
Student of the Month Category: This student creates a positive atmosphere through their infectious enthusiasm and friendly disposition.
The Junior High recipient was Mercy Anderson and the High School recipient was Ryleigh Maxwell.
We would like to give a huge thank you to Roy's Convenience Store for donating pizza for our students of the month.

Progress Update! We are excited to announce that five new secure exterior doors have been installed at primary campus entrances—another step forward in keeping our students, staff & community safe and improving our learning environment.

More Updates on Progress!!! ADA Ramp Completed in the JH/HS Science and Music Hallway. Also, Band Room Expansion with new wider door to allow easier access for larger instruments. More accessibility and opportunities for our students!!!

Thank you Washington County Handicapped Services-The Pam Dudley Center for donating a sound system for our baseball field.
We are very happy to announce the new JH/HS Kitchen will be open for use beginning tomorrow, August 27th. All JH/HS students will be able to eat in the cafeteria tomorrow while both breakfast and lunch will be served from our newly renovated kitchen.
Kitchen improvements include: New walk in freezer, new hot and cold area serving line, new fire prevention safety system, new flooring, new ceiling, new paint throughout, new water softener, new water heater, newly renovated electric and gas, new sink, new storage shelving, and many other upgrades.
We are excited about the improved food service this will provide for our students, staff, and community. A big thank you to all of our students, parents, and staff for all of their patience and teamwork as we adapted during the start of school. Also, a great deal of appreciation goes out to Brockmiller Construction, IDS Architects, Meir electric, the many contractors, and our custodian/maintenance staff for all of their work on this project.

We have received an update from our construction team that the JH/HS Kitchen will unfortunately not be ready for use at the start of school due to supply and service delays. The good news is that the project is very close to completion, and our contractors are optimistic it will be ready for service soon.
All student breakfasts and lunches will be served through our Elementary Cafeteria beginning Tuesday, August 19th, until further notice. We will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
We appreciate everyone’s flexibility during the construction process and teamwork in making sure our students are well-fed and have a strong start to the school year.
